From the words of Reed in regards to the cabin:

"They have the original cabin and they've built a second, much larger cabin. The first floor of the new cabin is primarily what Nancy calls the Great Room. where they eat, have activities and have church. She says it will hold at least 125 people for church. Above part of the Great Room is a loft. I asked how many could sleep in the cabins and she responded by saying that when their family is there, most of them set up tents in their large meadow area and sleep in the tents. They then use the cabins for meals and activities and rest rooms, though some do sleep in the cabins and in the loft. To summarize, Nancy indicates that if we ever want to use her cabins, we should do it now while she can still enjoy seeing us. We had a marvelous time there almost 30 years ago, and I think many of us slept in tents then. The cabin is in a very beautiful outdoor setting. It is not too far from Tony Grove and White Pine Lake. And there is no direct cost. We will have to find some way to partially pay, perhaps through service."

  1. It is very nice of Israelsens to allow us to use their cabin during the summer prime time. I look forward to spending time with family there and enjoying the mountains. Carl

  3. Ben I couldn't get an exact address when talking with the owners of the cabin-but this is what they gave me-It is 25 miles into Logan Canyon (15 miles from Bear Lake)-you take a left on Franklin Basin Drive, take a right, pass 3 trails that turn off and take the last one on the left, 3 blocks past that is a gate on the West side :). I'm planning to go up there now that the snow should be melted (it has been closed off all winter unless you had access to snow mobiles)-so I'm hoping to figure out a more accurate address for people to use :).
